Why the Name “Jonquil Beauty”?

The story behind our name starts in Smyrna, Georgia, where the original founders Mike and Lissa once lived.

Smyrna is affectionately known as The Jonquil City—named after the vibrant, fragrant jonquil flower that blooms in abundance each spring.

This bright yellow blossom symbolizes renewal and natural beauty—perfect for a brand rooted in health, healing, and self-expression.

💡 The tradition of planting jonquils in Smyrna began in 1883, when the Taylor family received bulbs from their son in Spokane. Those flowers multiplied and flourished—just like our growing community of clean beauty lovers.

Why Clean Beauty Matters to Us

For co-founder Lissa, clean beauty is personal. After surviving a brain tumor, she became determined to eliminate harmful toxins from her beauty and grooming routine. That journey of recovery led her to discover safer, more nourishing skincare, hair care, and cosmetics.

At Jonquil Beauty, we share the results of that ongoing research—highlighting clean beauty brands, sustainable products, and non-toxic lifestyle tips that support wellness from the inside out.

We also occasionally feature comforting lifestyle finds like eco-friendly home decor, clean-burning candles, and mental wellness quotes that bring calm and joy.

👨‍💻 Mike

Founder of Jonquil Beauty and Stashit, a SaaS platform that reinvents cloud content organization. Mike is a software engineer passionate about building smart solutions and supporting clean living.

🌸 Lissa

A former legal professional turned clean beauty advocate. Lissa (now a volunteer staffer) leads our social media, content creation, and affiliate marketing—sharing heartfelt stories and honest product reviews as part of her ongoing healing journey.

✨ Megan

A student at Florida Gulf Coast University, Megan is a part-time volunteer contributor who helps with product testing and article writing. She hopes to launch her own clean skincare line in the future.
